f. Registration of devices 

When you register RS Holding devices online, we use and process data generated or stored on the device, such as sensor data, log data, job data, and usage data. This device data may be combined with order data and personal data to improve the user experience with the devices as well as to offer you additional services such as online retrievable status messages, software status, service contract status, overviews and logs, proactive service messages, archiving of 3D job data via a certified cloud provider in Europe for devices installed in Europe, the display of device-specific articles in the eShop and device-specific documents.

In the event of a purchase of the equipment through a trading partner of RS Holding, the aforementioned data may be shared with the specific trading partner through which the equipment was purchased or with the specific trading partner with whom the customer has agreed in writing to take over the support, in order to improve the user experience with the equipment as well as to provide you with additional services. In addition, the aforementioned data may be shared with qualified service partners who are competent in the region of the equipment installation site. In no case will 3D geometry data of the 3D job data be shared (e.g. in STL or similar formats). Essentially, data is shared for support, processing, or supply purposes.

In doing so, we store this data on the basis of legitimate interests (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO). Our legitimate interest is to achieve the purposes described above.

4. Required information

If a data-collection form contains data fields that are marked as mandatory or with an asterisk (*), the provision of such information is either required by law or by contract, or may be needed for the conclusion of a contract, provision of services or the fulfillment of the stated purpose. If you do not provide the required information, this may result in us not being able to fulfill a contract or the requested service not being provided or the stated purpose not being achievable.

5. With whom do we share your data?

Your Personal Data may be shared with third-party service providers, suppliers and other cooperation partners used by the RS Holding for processing your orders, requests and registrations for courses and events. Your Personal Data may also be shared with third-party service providers that provide support services to the RS Holding, including, for example lettershops, call centers, advertising agencies, internet and IT service providers and data centers. h. Microsoft Dynamics 365

This website uses Microsoft Dynamics 365 to send newsletters. The provider of this service is Microsoft Ireland Operations, Ltd., Attn: Data Privacy, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, D18 P521, Ireland. Dynamics a CRM service which organizes and analyzes the distribution of newsletters. The data you provide to subscribe to our newsletter will be stored on Microsoft Dynamics servers in USA. If you do not want your usage of the newsletter to be analyzed by Microsoft Dynamics, you will have to unsubscribe from the newsletter. For this purpose, we provide a link in every newsletter we send. You can also unsubscribe from the newsletter directly on the website. We use Microsoft Dynamics to analyze our newsletter campaigns. This allows us to determine if a newsletter message has been opened and which links you click on. We can thus find out how often various links are clicked. i. Microsoft Office 365 Cloud Service

Our Remote Maintenance Booking service is operated by the Microsoft Booking App via the Microsoft Office 365 Cloud Service. By clicking the link to this service, you will leave our websites and webservers but Rapid Shape GmbH remains controller of the personal data, carrying the primary obligation to protect that data.

By using this app, the following customer data are stored to fulfill the booking service: Name and contact details, E-Mail, Booking-Schedules.

Furthermore, the regulations on “i. Microsoft Dynamics 365″ apply. If you do not agree to this, you can alternatively inquire by e-mail or telephone, otherwise you consent to the processing described above.

9. Sever log files & IP addresses

Every time a visitor accesses our website, data about this process is temporarily stored in a log file (Server Log Files) and processed. The log file stores the following information:

  • the operating system used
  • the referrer URL category
  • the host name of the accessing terminal
  • the date and time of the server request
  • the IP address.
